Kia Kaha Kids

Kia Kaha Kids was a band I was in from 2009-2010. We played GG Allin and Misfits covers plus an Eye Of The Tiger cover and Party Hard by Andrew W.K. We first started to play a one off set at our friends house party for Halloween. We decided that the band was too fun and we didn't wanna leave it at just one show. So we went on and played heaps of really fun, crazy and sometimes really awkward shows. We also wrote a few originals which were recorded just before our drummer (Rory) left the country.

Stuff you should know…(comments from the organisers)
The central city Liquor Ban Zone has been extended to Mt Cook and Newtown. However the Car Club Hall is actually just south of the Newtown/Berhampore boundary so the Liquor Ban Zone ends at Herald St, which is about 150m north of the hall. The police do enforce the Liquor Ban Zone in Newtown, so bear that in mind if you are walking to the hall with alcohol.

If you have any stuff that you distro then you can set a table up in the hall on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The evening shows tend to be packed so there is no room for distro tables then.

Note the new price of the Weekend Pass. After 10 years at $20 we have had to put the price up to $25. We’re also well aware of people who buy a Weekend Pass on Friday and then turn up the next day claiming they have lost it, while their friend who didn’t buy a Weekend Pass the night before suddenly produces one to gain entry. Our costs are often in excess of $5,000 so don’t try to rip us off cos that will mean you’re a dick!

Freak Of The Week

Late notice I know but you should come to this show. It will be fucking cool.
