Download "Bandicoot - Happy Talking EP"

Yet again I find myself posting about a band full of high school kids... that doesn't take away from the fact that Bandicoot are really fucking good. They play spazzy, noisy, punky, pop that is full of energy, with influences like Mint Chicks, King Brothers, Die! Die! Die!, Wu-Tang, HEALTH, At the Drive-In, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Lightning Bolt, and So So Modern, what more would you expect?

Their live shows are quite fun and often have a few hip hop covers thrown in there (which are pulled off surprisingly well.)

With opening Big Day Out 2010, topping the Radioscope National Alt.Radio charts and the 95bFM Top Ten with their single "Emotional and Dirty" and playing at Camups A Low Hum, Bandicoot are doing really well for them selves.

Their new EP - Jurassic Warfare has been freshly released (actually the EP release show is on the night of me writing this, I will be there). Support these young dudes and girl by picking up the EP where you can and attending shows.

Download Gee Gee's EP Demo Tape Thingy

Gee Gee is a young dude (17 in fact) from the UK, now living in New Zealand. He makes rad beats and cool lyrics.

I've been meaning to make a post about this guy for a while but haven't been able to obtain recordings (haven't tried very hard). But today he posted a link to his EP on his Facebook page so I took the opportunity and posted it here as well.

I've seen him live twice and both times were amazing. His set really makes you want to move about and have a boggy.

For fans of The Streets, M.I.A and Santogold.

Happy New Year
